Don’t worry! This post from MiniTool Partition Wizard will provide some useful solutions for you to fix this error. My default for my steam install is the HDD because it's the largest. I have three drives on my machine: a boot m.2, an SSD and an HDD. I didn't know if that was normal, but it did remind me that the recommended specs actually said SSD. no improvement but while i was checking the performance tab on task manager I saw that HDD transfer rate was pegged high. I was thinking it was a memory issue as task manager said about 90% of memory being utilized so i spent 40 bucks on some more memory 16GB to 32GB. I used to use RAID arrays and stuff, but the only thing that ever really changed was initial load time, and not even by that much. So in my experience virtually NO games have been seriously impacted by HDD read speed. LONG load times and terribly hitchy at first and would get at least to playable levels as time went by. My system is verbatim the recommended (high) system provided by portkey games so i didn't understand why my game was running terribly. TL DR: If you are running on an HDD, try switching to SSD. ![]()
